my celeb lookalikes

Yeah right …

It’s funny what turns up with different photos. This somewhat scary pic was taken in January at my 51st birthday lunch. When I used this pic (from my 50th birthday) I also ended up with Ava Gardner … as well as Christian Slater and José Carreras! Go figure.

Romy Schneider? Huh? i guess they didn’t have Captain Kangaroo in their image banks…

  2. ian in hamburg Says:

I did that once and one of them came up with me looking like Eddie Murphy!

I have never before now been compared to Isabel Allende.
    Or Ariel Sharon.
Or Prince Phillip, Duke of Edinburgh.

    David Livingstone is okay, though.

I think my previous comment might have been deemed spam by wordpress, because it had a link to another site in it.

    Found it, toby. :)

    Isabel Allende, eh?

Romy Schneider is good, daisy. Eddie not so much, ian.

  6. truce Says:

I don’t think that birthday photo is scary, I think you look a little mischievous and sassy :) Definitely Ava.

  7. azahar Says:

Well, the ‘mischievous’ bit is that I actually prefer the other photo but I got better celeb results with the scary one, truce. :)

Anyhow, I wasn’t fishing – I really do hate having my photo taken, always have. But birthdays seem to come with the obligatory ‘birthday girl’ pic. And hmh caught me at a drunk enough moment to allow her one photo op of ‘the az’ while she was here … still cringing about how that one is going to turn out. What can I say – it ain’t easy being me. ;)

    You’re very welcome, FFE. :)

Did Nog’s lookalikes this morning. Had to google Richard Stallman and it turns out that he and Nog have a lot in common, except for not looking anything alike.

  10. Big Bad Johnny P Says:

Ben Affleck apparently – then Rinus Michels – then George Peppard

Looking at the photos, aside from me apparently looking like them, and being male, I can’t see what they have in common.

Not sure if this will work, but here goes:

  12. bigbadjohnnyp Says:

OK – it didn’t work – now published at A Kiwi Abroad.

  13. azahar Says:

George Peppard is a good match, Johnny. As for the rest … ewww. I mean, L Ron Fucking Hubbard??? And Ben Affleck looks like a total mouth-breather to me.

Mind you, Nog got Pinochet and FFE got Howard Shipman…

  14. Former Frontier Editor Says:

I was hoping for at least Trotsky.

    Damn.

  15. azahar Says:

Maybe you should try using a photo with different glasses…

  16. LazyBuddhist Says:

Wow. Apparently I am a combination of a bunch of people I’ve never heard of, with a smattering of Jayne Mansfield, Dennis Weaver and George Peppard.

    I’m so depressed.

  17. OmbudsBen Says:

Oddly, LazyBuddhist, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if your latest incarnation and George Peppard’s had crossed atoms in a recent chronosynclastic infundibulum, as first divined by Kurt Vonnegut.

Depressed? The moon “Titan” is nice this time of … the Saturnal year.

  18. azahar Says:

Do you look anything like Big Bad Johnny P, LazyBuddhist? He also got George Peppard.

    Ben, did you do yours?

  20. Frontier Former Editor Says:

I found it at Az’s so she get’s credit.

Az: A Pinochet and an Alfred Molina match? Tres cool!

  21. Frontier Former Editor Says:

    get’s?
    let’s try ‘gets’

  22. azahar Says:

    ‘gets’ works for me, FFE.

I’ve figured out that it’s only my chin that has anything in common with the rest of my ‘look-alikes’.
