travel scrabble

Isn’t this great? It’s a present that Pipocas brought me back from the States. I’m planning on taking it with me on all future hospital visits, especially for chemo days and during my hospital stay after surgery. Unlike reading or watching a dvd, it’s something I can do with the friend who is with me.

It’s a great design – very compact (just folds over and zips up in its own carrying case), has clip-in letters, and the little tile trays also can be stored with the tiles in them so you can continue a game whenever you like.

Of course, Pipocas might regret giving me this when I whup her sorry scrabble butt next time we’re hanging out in the oncology waiting room … ;)

What an excellent idea! It looks fabulous. I’m sure you’ll have a lot of fun with it. I should look around for one I can take to the lake with me, but my family just isn’t into Scrabble…

I’ve never been aware of any other kind… Mine is however covered in dust nowadays. Cats and scrabble don’t mix well.

I would love one of these. Then I could whip The Boyo’s butt more often. I have the regular type, and used to have a computer game. Might have to go to one of the websites that lets you play.

    Get a different family, WC!

Actually, this travel game is perfect to have around cats, dq, because the tiles click in and don’t move around.

Silverstar, I’ve just started a game of email scrabble with you. :)

No wonder you are such a good player! I truly love email scrabble. One of the great things about it is if you have to go do something, you can, and your opponent is not sitting across the table sighing and drumming their fingers waiting for you to play.

  6. azahar Says:

Yes I am, I’m just not sitting across the table … ;)

    Watch out Pipocas…!

As a new bride, I went on a week long family reunion with Michael and the in-laws. He never diclosedf to me their vicious tendancy at militant Scrabble! I had to struggle to survive — it was hilarious!
