you are pomegranates

You are exotic, well travelled, and well learned. You are also something of a foodie.

You know how to whip up an amazing meal, and you never shy away from incorporating some seasonal ingredients.

You believe in eating healthy foods, but you don’t go too overboard with it. You know that you have a leg up by doing a lot of your own cooking.

So there is room in your diet for plenty of fall indulgences… you just balance them out with fresh fruits and vegetables.

Brussels sprouts. A valid answer. But I do love pomegranates. I’m actually eating one now.

I’ve never had a pomegranate in my life! They must be good.

What is the description for brussels sprouts?

    You Are Apples
You have simple tastes in food, and you appreciate a basic, clean flavor. You don’t think eating or cooking should be complicated.
In fact, you’re really not one for cooking much at all. Your best meals come together quickly and don’t require many ingredients.

If anything, you’re the type of person who’s more likely to pull out the oven mitts and bake every so often.
Chocolate chip cookies are one of your favorite things to smell baking, and it goes without saying that you love apple pie.

Apples seems appropriate. Typically English. And at least it wasn’t brussels sprouts.

I got pears. Pomegranates are delicious – they are quite tart and make great juice

    Apples…

Not sure I’m amused as I’m VIOLENTLY allergic to them. Hmm.

    You Are Pears
You have sophisticated taste in food, and more than anything, you really like to go for high quality ingredients.
You understand that a perfectly grown and ripened pear is a beautiful thing… and really quite underrated.

You prefer to eat minimally prepared food. You think complexity often just hides poor quality ingredients.
In your mind, there’s little better than an expertly poached pear, or pear served with a fine cheese.

Not sure about that – thoguh pears are one of the fruits that I “can” eat.

I’m pears too – which is strange because, although we grow them in the garden I don’t actually like them very much.
Avocado pears though … especially the hass type – served pretty much any way at all. Yum.

Pomegranate’s supposed to be one of the super-foods. I’ll happily sit and eat one on its own but they’re good sprinkled into salads etc.
I learned the hard way that they stain hands and fingernails a disgusting colour so now I always wear vinyl gloves when prepping.

I was always told that you should sit naked in a bathtub while eating pomegranates.

  7. 2009 November 8

I never heard the part about the bathtub, but the naked part makes a lot of sense. I wound up being pomegranate also. I have to say I haven’t met a fruit I didn’t like. Or a nut for that matter.

    Apples for me too…

I was also a pomegranate and I didn’t want to be boring, but figured I should check in.

They squirt little bits of red juice everywhere as you break them apart so that’s why the bathtub.

I have one every All Hallows, because they are the food that Persephone ate in the kingdom of the dead.
