Intelligent Design?
I’ve spoken here before about my West Wing addiction…
Have recently finished all seven series and am now rewatching them to use as a teaching tool with a couple of my students, which means I have to come up with questions for each episode. Today I got up to episode 3 in series 2 and loved this scene so much I wanted to use it on a debate forum on h2g2 … and hey, there it was on Youtube. And now here it is for you. ![]()
This is a ‘bonus post’ because I reckon that just posting videos during NaBloPoMo does seem a bit like cheating (and so, apologies for yesterday).
Anyhow, I am currently reading The Man Called Cash by Steve Turner (that was given to me by Sara & Steve) and this morning I got to the part where it talks about making this video. As I had never seen it I decided to have a look on Youtube, and it is so wonderful and moving that I thought I’d share it here too.
Enjoy!

Today is Todos Los Santos (All Saints Day), which is a public holiday in Spain.
Traditionally, people visit the cemetary and decorate the graves of their loved ones with flowers. Apparently this Christian holiday was moved from its original date in May more than ten centuries ago to offset the pagan autumn festivals.
Here at casa az it’ll be just a pleasant day off, with plans to go out for lunch and finally my swap summer/winter wardrobes. It also means I get a four-day long weekend!
Nog isn’t so lucky as he has to work on Friday. He says that in England they always move bank holidays (other than Christmas, New Year and Good Friday) to the nearest Monday in order to avoid long weekend ‘bridges’. Is it the same where you are?
It’s just after midnight so this is my first NaBloPoMo post. Off to sleep now and looking forward to checking in from my cosy bed in the morning . . .

Local Woman Finds “GOD” in Eggplant
Felicia Teske and her husband put aside that slice of eggplant. But with the rest of it they had for dinner, which they say was simply divine.
Not much more to say, is there?
