Yeah, slow news day. But only because my “date” for the lunch where I was going to be seated next to Spanish royalty had to cancel, and I didn’t feel like going alone. What else? Well, picked up my new router from Vodafone, cancelled all my Movistar stuff, and I should have my new iPhone 4 by next week (!!!).
And now just waiting for Jessica to show up. We’re going out to do a bit of tapearing and sample some of the special tapas created for Sevilla en Boca de Todos. At 2.50€ each, it’s quite a bargain.
What are you up to today?

I should be rescuing the garden from winter. But I’m not. I should be washing the car. But I’m not. I’m doing a watercolour painting of a shell. I should say it’s an obsession, but that would be an exaggeration. It’s not.

Lol… he seems to get into the darndest places!
I just got my new wireless modem from Bell. It took me three days to hook it up because the forgot to include an Ethernet cord (as well as the phone cord which, according to the manual you can ONLY use the exact phone cord of the correct length and material but according to the phone tech guys “it doesn’t matter”) and had to wait an extra 2 days to get. I had been using a USB Ethernet cord and the new modem doesn’t have a USB port.
After spending 15 minutes trying to get it installed and authorized via the website and an hour on the phone with the tech guy running me through all the various tests and set-ups I got it hooked up and running. At first I wasn’t sure if there was much difference but then I logged onto the server for work and REALLY noticed the difference! No more hanging around waiting for pages to link and load!.

Glad yours worked out.
I was a bit confused as to why I had to set up the new wireless modem using a CD… huh? Anyhow, haven’t done that yet, maybe tomorrow.

No CD involved in this case. It was supposed to simply link up to the Bell website. However, I had to delete all my history/temp/etc. files, reset all my security preferences… and a number of other things. But it works and that’s all that counts.

I had to look for ages before I spotted his paws! How cute.
I’ve spent the day so far sitting in on redundancy consultations so my day’s been a bundle of fun (but nowhere near as much fun as the poor sods on the other side of the table).
